JAVA trend and Predictions for 2024

Today I participated in a panel with this title together with Otavio Santana, Maximillian Arruda, Elder Moraes and Ed Nedin.

We talked about some topics about the future of Java. Here is a summary:

Virtual Threads

Is it possible to use AI and JAVA today?

Bruno: “Spring AI and Semantic Kernel are easy ways to start”

Elder Moraes: “I’m excited about 2 initiatives: Visual Recognition Specification (JSR381) and LangChain4J that has an extension for Quarkus”

Otavio: “Unit tests, documentation, graphs and diagrams, fixing grammar”
